About babycamly

babycamly turns two phones you already own into a baby monitor over your home wifi. One phone sits by the cot and streams; the other shows the picture. The connection is made directly between the two devices, so there is no account and no video passing through a server I run. Pairing works by scanning a code. It is a simple monitor, not a medical device, and it needs both phones awake and on the same network.

Who

babycamly is built and looked after by Saurav Kumar Sharma, an independent developer in India. There is no company behind it and no team; if something breaks, the person who fixes it is the person who wrote it.

How it is built

Everything on this site runs inside your browser. Once loaded, the tool keeps working without a connection. Drafts of the written guides are prepared with software help and then edited by hand; the measurements and examples come from running the tool.
